Keeping the Mardi Gras tradition strong in San Francisco. Go, Angela!
I go to local (north of the lake , family-friendly) parades, primarily because one of my daughters is in the band and they march in several local parades per season. She's a senior, so this is her last year marching. Monday (Lundi Gras), my husband, the twins, and one of the twin's boyfriend went to New Orleans to watch Krewe of Proteus and Krewe of Bacchus (I think--I know Nathan Fillion, tv's Castle, was Grand Marshall). Husband works for a company that has property on St. Charles, so they were on the balcony, away from the drunken revelers. Yesterday daughter, boyfriends, and their friends went to a Mardi Gras parade in Metairie. I stayed home and watched Zulu and Rex on TV. Going to get ashes on my head in about an hour.
