1 6 I HEAR A SYMPHONY - The Supremes 2 1 A LOVER’S CONCERTO - The Toys 3 2 1-2-3 - Len Barry 4 3 KEEP ON DANCING - The Gentrys 5 4 GET OFF OF MY CLOUD - The Rolling Stones 6 5 LET’S HANG ON! - The 4 Seasons 7 9 RESCUE ME - Fontella Bass 8 13 AIN’T THAT PECULIAR - Marvin Gaye 9 10 LIAR, LIAR - The Castaways 10 7 YESTERDAY - The Beatles
"A Taste of Honey" by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass jumped from 55 to 18. "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" by The Silkie (I always thought it was just Silkie) went from 56 to 22. Other big jumps were taken by The Dave Clark Five with "Over and Over" and James Brown with Cap'n Bob's least favorite song, "I Got You (I Feel Good)."
I note that "Yesterday" is listed as Paul McCartney (true!); it was released, however, as by The Beatles. And here's the Billboard top 10:
Get Off Of My Cloud, The Rolling Stones A Lover's Concerto, The Toys Yesterday, The Beatles (or Paul McCartney, or whoever) Everybody Loves a Clown, Gary Lewis and the Playboys Keep On Dancing, The Gentrys You're the One, The Vogues Positively 4th Street, Mr. Dylan 1-2-3, Len Barry Rescue Me, Fontella Bass A Taste of Honey, Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass
I subscribed to Billboard for several years starting in 1966 and always studied their weekly lists closely. I didn't keep any of the magazines, however.
I had a college friend who subscribed to Billboard starting in 1960. I'd read it in the university library the previous year, but I'd visit him and pore over his copy every week. I loved the ads and the Hot 100 lists.

Through the miracle of Al Gore's most famous invention, it's all only a click away.
