A good series. We always watched it. He was a good actor. Sad.

Here's his career, per imdb:

I loved Route 66, but was not a fan of Adam-12.

One of my favorites, from the "Sands of Iwo Jima" through the rest of his career.

He must have been well into middle age before he stopped playing kids, but I liked him in everything I saw him do. Of course, Adam-12 was his pinnacle in my eyes. RIP, Marty.

Loved him in 13 GHOSTS and "The Twilight Zone!"

Adam-12 was my absolute favorite show when I was a kid. Between this and Emergency!, I grew up wanted to be a cop or a fireman. And although Kent McCord was, I suppose, the "cool" one (they both seemed pretty square), I liked Milner better.

Some may not know that Milner & Jack Webb went way back before Adam-12. He played various roles on the radio Dragnet, and in 1952 did four episodes as Joe Friday's partner, Off. Bill Lockwood, during the transition period when Webb was trying different partners after the death of Barton Yarborough (Sgt. Ben Romero), before Ben Alexander eventually took over the role of Off. Frank Smith.

I didn't know that, but I'm not at all surprised that you did.
