To put, say, ANDROID ahead of Dick's THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE or THREE STIGMATA is just pseudo-hipness. These are the ten sf novels to have read to discuss on a smoke break at work at the alterno-venue.
Can't really argue against these choices, but I would somehow shoehorn in Childhood's End (Clarke), The Star Maker (Stapledon) and Past Master (Lafferty).
The Man in the High Castle is right up there, too, as is Dimension of Miracles (Sheckley).
Gibson is one of those writers that I can appreciate, but not read with real pleasure.

Read 9. Not a big Clarke fan so no Rendevous for me.
I've read 7. Haven't read the Willis or the Robinson. Tried to read the Gibson twice but couldn't get into it.
