Can't make an intelligent comment as I haven't seen any of them

I've seen two of them, THE HUNGER GAMES and THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Forget BATTLE ROYALE, THE HUNGER GAMES rips off about half of the written SF published during the Fifties. But I found it pretty entertaning anyway. And I liked THE DARK KNIGHT RISES better than the previous two Batman movies because it didn't have as much of that damned flash cut editing in it and because the bad guys taking over Gotham City the way they did reminded me of the sort of plots you'd find in pulp novels featuring Operator 5 or The Spider. I can see Jimmy Christopher or Richard Wentworth doing most of the things Batman did in this one. However, all the way through it a voice in the back of my head kept saying, "This is okay, but gee, the Marvel movies are a lot more FUN."

I'll probably watch some of the others on the list, but I haven't yet.

Well, Jeff, we sharply disagree here...though like Randy, I can only comment from the distance on all of these but THE HUNGER GAMES, but, for example, all of Christopher Nolan's films I've seen have been hugely overrated pompous bores (well, Christopher Priest's cheat of a source novel with THE PRESTIGE no doubt gave that one enough oomph to just be a ponderous cheat rather than a bore...good cast aside from unfortunate attempts at Brit accents helped, too), so I can easily believe everything bad about how RISES falls.

I agree on the Batman but think a lot of his choices were just to be "controversial" or contrary. If he really feels that way about ARGO he's just wrong.

So there.
