Kinda funny they didn't dig up an actual copy on Last of the Mohicans. I also have that classic comic. Hey, there's no Dracula movie listed and there's a bunch better than the book.
Without going into detail about how wrong many of the choices are--I'm certainly with you on all the ones you cite, Jeff, plus about ten more--how about the factual mistake of describing Holly Golightly as "a rich woman"? She wants to MARRY rich. Holly's turning tricks for crying out loud....for taxi fare, meals, and "any man with the slightest class...(who'll)...give you fifty dollars for the powder room."
An absolutely insane list filled with good movies and great books. I will agree on some but most of the time the guy misses the boat. It should be 50 great films made from great books.

Without reading the list yet I know there are not 50 movies that are "better than the book." There are a few: JAWS and THE GODFATHER come to mind.
Now I'll read the list and get back to you.
Jeff
DRIVE? No.
FALLEN ANGEL vs. ANGEL HEART? No.
DOUBLE INDEMNITY and THE MALTESE FALCON? Both good but not better.
RED DRAGON and MANHUNTER? Not better.
THE EXECUTIONERS and CAPE FEAR? No.
THE SHINING? No way.
Jeff

I might agree more if I could figure out what exactly the list-maker is saying most of the time. I can't, so I won't. I'll ditto Scott Cupp.
