Clearly the time has come for everyone to admit the simple truth about daylight saving time, which is that it is a vast inconvenience which does nothing helpful for anyone, does not do what most people claim it does (i.e. to save energy), and only causes trouble. Let’s end the charade. OK?
On a tangent, I noted this expression from the 1895 Transactions and Proceedings of the Royal Society of New Zealand, used to describe a method of producing books full of errors: "the product of paste-pot and scissors."
"It really started because an old tribal chief wanted his blanket to be longer. A wise man told him to cut off one end of the blanket and sew to the other end..."
