Morris Dancing Update

BBC NEWS | Entertainment | Arts & Culture | Morris dancing 'extinction' fear: "Morris dancing could be 'extinct' within 20 years because young people are too embarrassed to take part, a UK Morris association has warned.

The number of people taking part in the English folk dance is falling while the average age of the dancers is going up."

Oh, my no Morris Dancing? Perhaps it can be a competition in Dancing to the Stars, then it would be revived. What would the contestants where?

There's a wonderful mystery centering around morris dancing. Ngaio Marsh? Can't remember. There's a group in Berkeley that gathers to do Morris Dancing very early on May Day. At least it's alive in Berkeley

I've read the book. I think it is Marsh. Maybe America will save Morris Dancing.

Yes, it was a Marsh book. If I remember the title was Death of a Fool, and the UK title was something like Off With His Head. And Janet's right, the book was wonderful.

Word verification: Grile (Wasn't that Ambrose Bierce's pen name?)
