But the Fairbanks, Sr./AM Wong silent and the Korda remake are both pretty damned great.Todd Masonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01815516018079824802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668066.post-28758348705161901822011-10-17T05:15:47.523-05:002011-10-17T05:15:47.523-05:00I was waiting for them to miss "The Maltese F...I was waiting for them to miss "The Maltese Falcon." Glad that they surprised me by remembering it.

Of course they missed "The Adventures of Robin Hood" with Errol Flynn (loose remake of the Douglas Fairbanks silent film - both of which co-starred Alan Hale Sr. as Little John) and "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves."Brent McKeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14883838112004433045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668066.post-88485691300709404542011-10-16T14:03:48.969-05:002011-10-16T14:03:48.969-05:00I'm with August.I'm with August.Cap'n Bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11783977137812876489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668066.post-81660052723090058882011-10-16T11:17:29.694-05:002011-10-16T11:17:29.694-05:00August, your opinion is considerably less worthles...August, your opinion is considerably less worthless than several of those expressed here, which manages to omit, among the worst, the remake of THE HAUNTING. However, both CAPE FEARs are far lesser work than John D. MacDonald's source novel, THE EXECUTIONERS.
