I strayed ... but Bill is kind enough to let me spew every now and then.

Actually, I'd just read that thing in CNN online about Milius and when I saw Bill's post, I couldn't resist.

I'm fine with legalizing most things ... I know I'm often taken as a right wing nut (wingnut)? ... but it's not true ... I'm just a very violent-prone liberal (if that makes sense) ...

And I'm sick (very sick) of the Democratic Party ... both parties, actually.

so, yeah, whack the punks shooting innocents in Mexico (or cage them and hand out switchblades and put it on pay per view) ... but legalize the drugs already. There are plenty of other things to tax ... such as people with absurd amounts of dollars they couldn't possibly have earned (not to mention athletes getting $25 million a year to jog around the bases).

Oh, I'm sure we can figure something out.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668066.post-19115777516556217852009-03-09T19:06:00.000-05:002009-03-09T19:06:00.000-05:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.VentasOnlinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09479854362928862483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668066.post-63883369452441629942009-03-09T16:44:00.000-05:002009-03-09T16:44:00.000-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.mybillcriderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02350478005243505108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668066.post-66286890266613502852009-03-09T16:33:00.000-05:002009-03-09T16:33:00.000-05:00And that would make some sense. But, as I underst...And that would make some sense. But, as I understand it, there are already multiple and potent strains of marijuana cultivated illegally. How many people would buy from a commercial source like that? I suppose you'd have people who never tried the stuff before buying it through a regular commercial source. All the heavy users will get it through pals or grow their own.

As another aside on the topic. When I lived in Arizona one of the local cops in my town was convinced that collapsing the drug trade (without legalization taking place) would completely collapse the economy. She saw so much cash running through that removing it would cause major trouble.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668066.post-71500381745882553992009-03-09T16:19:00.000-05:002009-03-09T16:19:00.000-05:00There's a novel by Edwin Corley, ACAPULCO GOLD, ab...There's a novel by Edwin Corley, ACAPULCO GOLD, about the big cig companies selling the evil weed.mybillcriderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02350478005243505108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668066.post-81428635507023801492009-03-09T16:09:00.000-05:002009-03-09T16:09:00.000-05:00Dang, Charlie. But, I do get really annoyed when proponents of legalizing marijuana say that taxing legalized sales will bring in loads of dough. Baloney. People are already growing the stuff in basements, attics, and remote forests. Legalize it and even more people will grow it in their gardens and herb containers. How are you supposed to collect the taxes?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668066.post-80313802481926447832009-03-09T15:03:00.000-05:002009-03-09T15:03:00.000-05:00I'll take my chancesI'll take my chancesAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668066.post-54663548566323623542009-03-09T14:54:00.000-05:002009-03-09T14:54:00.000-05:00or even "you're"...or even "you're"...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668066.post-82489967230675204562009-03-09T14:53:00.000-05:002009-03-09T14:53:00.000-05:00Until someone decides Your the punk who deserves t...Until someone decides Your the punk who deserves the shooting...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668066.post-57849303143942135022009-03-09T14:33:00.000-05:002009-03-09T14:33:00.000-05:00I'm for that (legalizing drugs) too ... then every...I'm for that (legalizing drugs) too ... then everybody is happy.

The "drug wars", until there's an "alcohol war" is absurd (and lord knows that should NEVER happen).

But shooting punks always makes sense to me.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668066.post-2972202757316405532009-03-09T11:41:00.000-05:002009-03-09T11:41:00.000-05:00You're no fun, Bill. You're no fun, Bill.Todd Masonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01815516018079824802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668066.post-83872085778820264112009-03-09T11:13:00.000-05:002009-03-09T11:13:00.000-05:00I think we should just legalize the drugs.I think we should just legalize the drugs.mybillcriderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02350478005243505108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3668066.post-67783543194740356692009-03-09T10:53:00.000-05:002009-03-09T10:53:00.000-05:00(From CNN today): Here's Milius on stopping murde...(From CNN today):

Here's Milius on stopping murderous drug traffickers in Mexico: "We need to go down there, kill them all, flatten the place with bulldozers so when you wake up in the morning, there's nothing there," he said in a phone interview.
