Shockingly different from the US version. Mos...Wow. Shockingly different from the US version. Most Americans have not read these writers and vice versa. I gues US hegemony does not extend to literature. I agree with Disgrace as first choice. It is the most devastating novel I've read in the last ten years. And Atonement was amazing.
