Chemo #1 Completed

Just got back from M.D. Anderson, and chemo treatment #1 of the new regimen is in the books.  I'll find out in a few days what the side-effects will be, if any.  My doctor said I wouldn't lose my hair again, but the nurse today said I would.  People over there can't get their stories straight.  Anyway, I'm feeling okay now, and I'm glad the first treatment is out of the way.  Five more to go.

Always trust the nurse. I'm praying for your recovery, which is mighty big of me, agnostic that I am.

Glad the first one is done, but very sorry you are having to go through this.

One of the things we have noticed as Sandi has been hospitalized since Memorial Day with only one week out is the fact that there is a lot of conflicting info between nurses among themselves and the docs. Not only do the docs say one thing, some of the nurses will say something drastically opposite while at the same time some of the other nurses will say something entirely different. Trying to get a consensus answer on anything has been pretty much impossible. We have never experienced it to this level before and it certainly does not help with the stress of things.

Possible side effects include a date with Paris Hilton or a feature role in a Nic Cage flick. Not probable, but possible.

Hoping for the best.

Hey, I've always known that hair is highly overrated.

Keep the faith.
