1. Jackie - "Good trick getting a parking spot"
2. "Where are they going to put 250,000 people?"

We've been there many times, starting around 1978 (?). The most memorable was July 29, 1981, which I'm sure some of you (Deb?) will recognize as the date of the wedding of Charles and Diana. We were staying with our friends Bob & Sue Adey. While Sue and Jackie and Sue's friend Marilyn were glued to the telly, Bob and I and his friend Bill drove cross-country (on roads that were even emptier than usual) to Hay to buy books. Much more productive, don't you think?

I miss the old days.

I remember your writing about it in DAPA-Em.

It's a pretty small, compact (but fun) place. Unless they have big parking lots on the outskirts and buses to transport people (I didn't bother reading the whole article, so it might have said), I don't know where they're going to put them. And there are only a few small eating places in the village.
