I was surprised not to see any Ross Thomas novels. Possibly because most of his best books are set in places other than DC: The Fools in Town are on Our Side, The Wu and Durant trilogy.

I'm definitely interested in WATERGATE. If I ever finish my library books I will borrow it.

I've read several of these. No Ross Thomas. No Charles McCarry.

I'll have to order a copy of the new Megan Abbott from HARD CASE CRIME. I liked SIX DAYS OF THE CONDOR (and the movie version that cut the title by three days).

Ross Thomas's The Money Harvest is a really good one. Also a couple of the McCorkle/Padilla books have Washington settings.
