I probably heard this Top 10 on these very stations, WCFL and WLS. I received WLS' clear-channel signal intermittently in West Virginia when I was in high school. It came in best during the winter, early morning and late night. The Chicago hog reports were still on when my radio came on just before 7 a.m. And then the DJ programming started, and I was able to listen to a little music after that while I got dressed. I remember Art Roberts on WLS at night, and Dick Biondi on WCFL.

From around 1960 to 1965, I listened to WLS at night in the car when Judy and I had dates. I thought I remembered Dick Biondi, so maybe I heard WCFL, too.

Looks like we're both right. Wiki says that Biondi was at WLS from 1960 to 1963, went to LA, then back to Chicago with WCFL in 1967. CKLW ("The motor cityyyyy ...") and WABC were two other clear channel stations that I listened to when the signal came through. I miss the old days.

Those would've been the prime years of my listening to the station, for sure. I also listened to WNOE in New Orleans and WLAC in Nashville. Biondi is still on the air, I think, maybe for WLS.
