Wow, and I just rewatched the first episode of UNCLE last night. Sad.

Under-rated as an actor, he played bad guys (as in Bullit) and heroes (with a sense of humor) (Napoleon Solo) and tormented men (Lee in The Magnificent Seven) with equal conviction.

I was a fan of THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. back in the Sixties. Robert Vaughan was a favorite actor in my family.
