Bad Brains? J. Geils Band? This is the Hall of Fame not the Hall of One-Hit Wonders!

Not a big fan of J. Geils but more than a one hit wonder. Where is Roxy Music?
About time for the MC5. Agree with Pearl Jam. Could do without ELO, Chaka Chan, Janet Jackson and Journey for sure.

Janet Jackson is to singing what Donald Trump is to Presidential politics.

Steven Van Zandt discussing the list during a program on Sirius radio. Van Zandt talks about how and why groups are selected. One-hit wonders probably won't make it, influence is important. One of the hosts cites Bad Brains big influence on other bands over the year.

ELO - yes. Zombies - yes. The rest, meh.

Much as I love Joan Baez's work...the *Rock and Roll Hall of Fame*?

I'm depressed to realize that Pearl Jam has been around long enough to be eligible, but I'm OK with them.

Also ELO, Cars, Zombies, and Steppenwolf (although both the Zombies and Steppenwolf have fairly slight bodies of work).

ELO. They played The Palace near me and got reamed on local radio for lip syncing.
MC5 is the most influential band on this list. Than Pearl Jam.

The Motor City 5 and The Zombies - it's about bloody time.

ELO, Zombies, and Journey rate with me. Not the others, not for the Hall of Fame.

Oh, and Yes.

Hoping that letting in Journey and ELO won't open the doors to crap like Reo Speedwagon, Kansas, Grand Funk RR and Styx(probably the worst band in history).

I'm good with YES and The Cars!
