Well, maybe. There are a lot of truly great albums that have been done, so I'd have an awfully difficult time proclaiming any one as The Greatest Of All Time.

Have to agree with Richard. Exile on Main Street by the Stones, London Calling by The Clash, Forever Changes by Love.

Good ones, Steve, and I'd add Aja by Steely Dan, Hotel California by The Eagles, Layla by Derek and the Dominos (Clapton), and so many more.

Exile on Main Street has to come in at the top for Rock albums.
But for best of all time I don't think you can get past Frank Sinatra Sings For Only The Lonely.

IMHO, Revolver and Rubber Soul should have been one double-album. They are thematically and musically linked. Although it's hard to quantify a "favorite" Beatles album, those two together are my favorites.

The Beatles White Album, The Rolling Stones' More Hot Rocks and Fazed Cookies and Pink Floyd's Dark Side of The Moon. Perhaps not imaginative, but timely in my personal evolution.
