Hey, it's better than being a Walmart greeter.

And it's conveniently near my home.

The best part of Bridey Murphy's Wikipedia page is in the "In Popular Culture" section which says several members of the Cowsills later formed a band called Bridey Murphy and released a single in 1974.

Okay, now I'll have to go to YouTube and look for that single.

Not bad--you can hear a Cowsills influence, but it sounds earlier than 1974:

I'd say "Only in Texas," but I bet there's something similar in New Mexico, or California, or Florida...

Hey, we're seeing [what remains of] The Cowsills on the Happy Together tour next month.

That should be a great show.

It does sound earlier. Also sounds a little Beach Boys. Of course, Waddy Wachtel has played with everyone from Jackson Browne to Linda Ronstadt to Fleetwood Mac to Warren Zevon, with whom he co-wrote "Werewolves of London" and "Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead."

Hubbard cited Murphy as proof that past lives exist. He was silent when she was exposed as a fraud, as is he.
