Long after the Eighties, Bennu was our code wordd for very bad television.

I don't think I had even been aware of any of these...but, then, I don't much do television...

WIZARDS AND WARRIORS doesn't belong on the list. As the writer admits, it was fantasy-adventure, not science fiction. Also, I remember the series as being pretty sharp in its humor, with the villains being especially amusing. And it wisely gave a recurring role to the classic character actor Ian Wolfe. Randi Brooks as the very sexy, evil witch wasn't a bad casting choice either!

I kind of liked that one, too, Gary.

Misfits of Science was clever and witty; perhaps the author misunderstood its tongue-in-cheek approach. Several of the others are solidly crafted action shows that successfully incorporate science fiction elements. But The Powers of Matthew Star was indeed quite bad.
