For the last few years, at the start of the school year, school employees are reminded to keep their social media control set to the strictest privacy settings and not to post any pictures that might be, ahem, problematic. otoh, this teacher was on vacation and if a gal can't get her twerk on in that circumstance, soon we'll have no freedoms left at all!
What Deb said. I saw this on the Daily Mail website this morning and just don't get it. She was ON VACATION. She wasn't naked or having inappropriate sex with a student or snorting illegal drugs (as far as we know). How is it any of their business?
A thousand years ago I had two teachers who would have looked pretty good in those circumstances, but the rest, oh dear God no. This teacher was--or should have been--within her rights, although in the current social media climate she was exceedingly unwise; she should still get her job back.
If you look at the poll results on the site, 79% of the respondents think the school was in the wrong, 15% think they share the wrongness, and only 6% think the teacher was in the wrong. But maybe a lot more people even know what twerking is that I would have guessed (I live a very sheltered life here in Indianapolis).
Me too, Bill, but none of them looked like the lady in the photos, blurry as they are. I'm not sure any of my elementary and junior high teachers were younger than 60, not that there's anything wrong with that.
When I was in elementary school I thought all my teachers were at least seventy or older (as well as possibly being listed in the Royal Navy’s ships of the line). Turns out the oldest was a youthful 42.JohnD
