Dallas was a stand-in for Detroit? I bet people in Dallas hope it does not share the fate of Detroit.

And East St. Louis was, and would continue to be, a good location for a good dystopia.

That is one of the best things I have ever seen on the internet, by the way.

So far Dallas seems likely to avoid the fate of Detroit.

The only connection I've had with dystopian movies, besides watching a few, was when a few scenes of Futureworld were filmed at MD Anderson Cancer Center in 1976 in a linear accelerator treatment room. I didn't think the movie was very good and I didn't get to see Peter Fonda or Blythe Danner, but it was interesting watching how scenes were shot.
