EARLY MORNING RAIN was written by Girdon Lightfoot. It was one of my late father-in-law's favorite songs. My husband sang it as his funeral.

"Mr. Moon"? I don't think so. I'll give you the NYC list when I get home.

The NY charts seem to stick more closely to the national charts than the regional charts do, which I guess is the fun of seeing the regional charts.

Yeah, the Billboard and the NY charts are often a lot alike...partly because, at the time, NY probably had a bigger "weight" in the national charts than it does not. Anyway, the Billboard top 10:

I Hear a Symphony, The Supremes
1-2-3, Len Barry
Get Off Of My Cloud, The Stones
Rescue Me, Fontella Bass
Let's Hang On!, The Four Seasons ("Featuring the Sound of Franki Valli"--really, that's what it says)
Turn, Turn, Turn, The Byrds
A Lover's Concerto, The Toys
Ain't That Peculiar, Marvin Gaye
A Taste of Honey, Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass
You're the One, The Vogues

Eddy Arnold checked in at #28, with Let the World Go Away
And Johnny Rivers landed at #39 with Where Have All The Flowers Gone?
