All too often, asset seizures like that are, well, not wholly legitimate. The judgment that the property seized was purchased with drug money is, a lot of the time, in a hearing from which the property owner is excluded. Hard to get an objective judgment...And I note that it's New Braunfels once again. First with the noisy band, now with the hot-wheeled cops.
