I bet in the days of Sacheen Littlefeather (whippersnappers can look her up) they were worried about someone doing the "wrong winner" thing.

Hint to Oscar Committee: do NOT let Kanye announce an award.

Maybe they'll hire a Kanye impersonator to rush the stage and liven up the proceedings.

I haven’t watched the Academy Awards since Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure was snubbed in 1985.

When Denise Richards wasn't even nominated for The World Is Not Enough, I knew the whole thing was a fraud.

"Political Connections" and money afford the so-called better films to be released late in the year as Oscars approach. BS I say, but the whole thing has some great history and funny moments. Indeed Bob Hope was the best, and the likes of Johnny Carson too. Nowadays, seems like they plug in whomever they can get to host. (oh, and loved Billy Crystal too).
For my own amusement, I compile a list ever year of the top ten films overlooked/snubbed…so many brilliant turns on a smaller budget that don't get the big hype or recognition they deserve...
