Uh-Oh

TVWeek: A drama series that aired for four years in the 1960s is the latest classic show to get the reboot treatment. Deadline.com reports that “Route 66,” a CBS action show that aired from 1960-1964, is in development by David Ellender’s Slingshot Global Media.

There was a remake in the late 90s that tanked, so to speak, I forget who was in it.

david: In 1993, Route 66 was resurrected, albeit briefly. The "sequel" series followed the adventures of two friends, Nick Lewis (played by James Wilder) and Arthur Clark (Dan Cortese), one of whom (Lewis) had inherited a classic Corvette from his father, Buz Murdock. The new series lasted just four episodes on NBC before being canceled.

What could possibly go wrong?

Doesn't the existence of Interstates 40 and 55 make this whole enterprise somewhat...unnecessary?
