This book was added to my accumulation at the recent Bouchercon, courtesy of the excellent George Kelley.

Oh my, I hope he didn't buy me a copy!

I'll be happy to take any theoretical copy purchased for Rick.

Why on Earth would Westlake hide when writing this one?

I love the fact that he blurbed his own book.

This copy of COMFORT STATION was only the second copy I've ever seen. The first copy I found, Westlake signed. I later sold that copy of COMFORT STATION to Hal Rice who used it to torture Otto Penzler (who only lacked COMFORT STATION to complete his Westlake collection). Later, Hal sent Otto the book. I doubt if I'll ever find another copy of COMFORT STATION.

Does anyone happen to remember a book by Westlake called (I think) "A Spy In The Ointment"? I read it when I was a teenager and wanted to find a copy at the time. Unfortunately I couldn't and later the copy that I read went missing. I loved that book, one of the funniest things I'd read up to that point in my life.

I remember it well. That was back in Westlake's earlier, funnier days. He wrote several in that vein.
