Hey! Who's that good looking guy with your wife? This is just before you come busting in like Dustin Hoffman in THE GRADUATE, right? Best wishes on the day!

Wow, you guys are old.

Just kidding! You still look the same (well, Judy does), except for the hair of course.

Maybe you can renew your vows in a shark tank?

Anyway, congratulations! We're only 5 years (and a few months) behind you.

Do I detect a smirk on your face, Bill? Let me look again...yep, that's a smirk.

Congrats on the 45 years!

Unknown said...

Possibly a smirk. More likely a rictus of fear.

Nice. And many more.

Congrats, Bill!

But, er...was there any chance that babe you're standing with was the one who needed glasses?

What the hell -- you got away with it! Way to go. I did one thing right in my life and it was on June 1 1968....

Geek alert!

All seriousness aside -- best wishes and congratulations to you, chum!

Thanks, Ivan. I was a geek before being a geek was cool.

So, out of idle curiosity, who are the firsts on either side of the lucky couple...(and the first 45 are the hardest, I gather...)...

The best man is Fred Williams, a lifelong friend. He lives in Colorado now, but we're still in touch by daily e-mails, and we see each other about once a year. The lovely maid of honor is Loibeth Black Pettit, who lives in Ft. Worth. She's still one of Judy's best friends, and we've traveled to Canada and Virginia with her and her husband in recent years.

Bill, just found out that (perhaps) in honor of your anniversary today is National Donut Day and Dunkin Donuts (at least) is giving away free donuts, so don't miss out!

Jeff

Naturally there's not a Dunkin Donuts in Alvin.

Krispy Kreme has the offer too.

They've left the entire Houston area. Maybe Texas, for all I know.

Congratulations, Bill and Judy. I spent your anniversary tying the knot for another young couple. Must be a nice day to get married.

Do I see a pocket protector in your tux?
