BILL CRIDER'S POP CULTURE MAGAZINE
Long article in yesterdays' Los Angeles Times about Twilight addiction:http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/la-ca-twilight-addiction-20100627,0,1321211.storyI didn't realize there were some for whom the books and films had become this deep an obsession. I can only imagine what it will be like when the latest film opens this week.
Well, a group has been camping out in a tent city for a week in LA.As Travolta said in SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER, "dumb f@4ks."We had an article here yesterday too. They interviewed middle aged women (who should know better) about their 'addiction' which was just sad.It reminded me of the cartoon which also ran yesterday, of a line of people with a sign behind them poiting and saying "iPhone 4G 10 mi."A guy is standing facing them with a sign saying "For $500 I'll hold your place in line" and a second guy behind him has a sign saying "For $700 I'll get you a life."Make of it what you will.Jeff
Well, I don't have an iPhone, and I haven't seen the TWILIGHT movies. (Hated the first book, didn't read any more.) And we all know I'm not addicted to the Internet.
