Uh-Oh

`South Park' creators plan B'way musical for 2011: "The creators of the cheeky animated TV series 'South Park' are taking aim at Broadway.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone have written a musical comedy called 'The Book of Mormon' that will open on Broadway in March 2011. The two wrote the show's book, music and lyrics, along with Robert Lopez, one of the creators of the Tony-winning 'Avenue Q.' The musical will be directed by Parker and Jason Moore, who directed 'Avenue Q.'"

Fortunately, I still have my old Actor's Equity Association membership card. This could be a good career move for me!

The SOUTH PARK boys are adept at musicals. They wrote CANNIBAL THE MUSICAL and the SOUTH PARK movie was a musical, both very Broadway traditional in some ways. They did a fine Christmas album, and use musical numbers frequently on their show. (Their episode on the founding of the Mormon church, significantly, utilized music.)

They celebrated their 200th episode tonight. I love them. Pure outrageous comic geniuses. Scamps of the first order.
