I suspect they were not too widely sold at supermarket checkouts, as have been so many other vest-pocket items (though not the Penguin 50 anniversary series of...gosh, has it been fifteen years or so now?). Assuming no hoax (but he could hoax better than that, eh?).

I don't ever recall seeing any of these. The list of authors doesn't exactly sound cutting-edge for 1972. Faith Baldwin?
