Just When You Least Expect It . . .

. . . you become a Kindle owner. I would never have bought one for myself, but Judy and I received one from our son for Christmas. It's an interesting device, for sure. I've downloaded a book, but when will I read it? Time will tell.

I know there's a couple of Crider novels in the Kindle store.

I find it most useful when I am away from home; I don't have to carry an extra suitcase for my books.

I'll be really interested to see what you think of it Bill.

You'll love it, I'm sure. I used e-Reader with my Palm and now that I'm an iPhone convert, both e-Reader and Kindle for iPhone. I love that I'm lugging around no less than 50 books in my purse at any given time. Doctor running late? No problem. Long line at Kroger's? No problem. The only reason I haven't bought a Kindle is--I really don't need it with the iPhone app. Otherwise, I would've probably bought it.

Another author friend of mine was given a Kindle from her son, and she is of the same opinion, "What do I do with this?" I told her this would be a good way to try out the new technology and see what readers of her ebooks are seeing.

I won't buy one, of course. :) But if somebody gave me one, I'd play with it.
