Now This Is Really Sad

What the wild things are: British children unable to identify crocodiles and leopards | Mail Online: "More than half of British children can't identify a crocodile while just one in five can name four basic wild animals, a new study has found."

Obviously, some other type of entertainment or game has replaced the Animal Lotto game I had as a child.

Struggling to tell a frog from a toad is kind of understandable. But these kids, aside from not having been to a zoo, were obviously not brought up on picture books, or even wildlife TV. My kids knew all kinds of animals before they went to school. Very sad.
