Robert Ginty, R. I. P.

R.I.P. Robert Ginty - The Exterminator at horroryearbook.com: "Sad news for action exploitation fans out there as Robert Ginty, star of The Exterminator films, died of cancer Monday in Los Angeles. He was 60 years old. He also wrote, produced and directed the films as well."

Hat tip to Jeff Segal.

I was slightly surprised when he popped up as THE EXTERMINATOR, after his stint in the short-lived THE PAPER CHASE tv series. Kinda how David Morse left ST. ELSEWHERE as the enactor of the sensitive guy always walking on eggshells and started playing characters who would just as soon break your jaw as shake your hand.

He can be forgiven, I'm sure, the worst tv series set in Hawaii I can recall, HAWAIIAN HEAT. I never watched BAA BAA BLACK SHEEP or SIMON AND SIMON much, so missed him there.
