Ahh, the memory. This is the only serial I ever saw. When I lived on he Naval Air Station in Norfolk, Virginia a bus would come around evry Saturday in the summer and pick up all the kids from their various housing areas. It would deposit us at the base's huge theater/bowling alley/gym/handball courts/and ghus-knows-what center. For ten cents, one dime, the tenth path of a dollar, we'd get to see a couple of cartoons,a newsreel, a serial chapter, and a movie or two. The serial showing the summer I did this was Manhunt of Mystery Island. I'm sure I missed a few episodes, but I was enrapt by the action every week, even after feeling let down by the saver at the start of each installment, when te hero escaped the cliffhanger in a rather pedestrian way. Thanks for the trip back in time, Bill.

I'd fix those typos but there's too much retyping involved.

WV: Pepigro. What they would have called The Real McCoys' farm hand if he'd been black instead of Mexican. And I apologize for that right now.
