"Night of the Hunter" is a gem. I watched "Heaven's Gate" again last week and I still think it's a pompous mess. The booklet with the DVD says that Isabelle Huppert prepared for her role by observing the working girls at an Idaho bordello for three weeks. Cimino should have made his movie about that wacky scenerio instead.

May the winds abate to a gentle zephyr if or when they reach Alvin.
