Italian Spiderman

As Judy often says, "it takes so little to give you a laugh." How true, and this proves it.

I'm with you, Bill. Loved The World's Pudgiest Superhero.

Emerson LaSalle wrote the novelization...in 1965, published by Award in their porn line, with suitable amendments by Ejler Jakobsson. This edition is highly prized, much less common than the Italian translation published the next year. (Though the serialization run of the Italian version in the magazine OGGI is quite a collectable).

Man, I need to find that one. Old Emerson really got around.

As a bonifide Italian I am extremely befuddled why anyone would find Italian Spiderman funny. I found him to be quite normal. In a superhuman sort of way, of course. A bit gaunt, perhaps.

If he'd quit smoking, he'd gain some needed poundage.

But the smoking adds that rakish element.

"It takes so little to give you a laugh," ey? Well that would explain why I haven't been booted out of here.
