I saw a whole show on the slaughter of this family. About ten years ago. I still haven't gotten over it. I bet not one Russian in all the subsequent Commie years of misery and suffering saw even one discomforting node of it as God's fury and vengeance for this National Act of Satan worship and anti-family savagery.

Bill, the book The Last Tsar by Edvard Radzinsky is an excellent look at the reign of Nicholas and Alexandra and their death.

I believe that tests done a few years ago showed pretty conclusively that Anastasia could not be the missing sister, that she was one of the bodies found a small distance away. It is believed that Maria is the missing sister, but I don't think they're sure.
