John Wayne at 100

The 100th anniversary of John Wayne's birth is coming up this month, and The Shamus has kicked off his celebration with the first in a series of posts that I'll definitely be reading.

And Barbara Stanwyck also turns 100 in the next few days/weeks (I have, of course, forgotten the exact date).

Turner Classic Movies has scheduled thirty-four Wayne films for May, including ten of the John Wayne/John Ford collaborations. I think Katherine Hepburn would also have been 100 this month.
