NBC11.com - News - Concord School: Hot Sauce Is Deadly Weapon: "CONCORD, Calif. -- A 16-year-old girl is back in school Friday after school officials recanted their decision to suspend her for bringing hot sauce to school, NBC11's Jodi Hernandez reported.

School officials said Laura Martin's $25 bottle of Mad Dog 357 sauce hurt two students on Thursday.

The Concord High School senior said she and her friend Stephanie Goins, 15, were given a two-day suspension for possession of a deadly weapon."

Actually not such a joke. I have in my fridge a bottle of "Blair's Mega Death Sauce", which I use very,very sparingly to goose my chili. Its heat measures out at 550,000 Scoville units (your stock Tabasco sauce is maybe a couple hundred), and believe me you don't want to taste it straight and especially don't want it in your eye! Mad Dog 357 is "only" 357,000 Scovilles, but still plenty hot enough to cause severe reaction. This is the stuff they make Mace from, only that's diluted way down!

Why would anybody eat something that hot? I've even given up habenero peppers.
