State police spokesman Willie Williams said the bus was stopped early on Monday morning about 7 miles east of Lafayette, Louisiana, for a routine commercial inspection, and a state trooper smelled marijuana inside the bus.

I hear Willy is claiming that the 1 1/2 pounds was for personal use--for an 8-hour period.

The Katrina thing must have blown over, so to speak, now that Louisiana is back to allocating tax dollars to busting good ol' boys who just want to get high and play music. And I thought they were still having big problems down there. Bill, you left out my favorite part of the story. A pound-and-a-half, and they let Willie go with a misdemeanor citation. It's about high time.
