How Many Can You Answer?

Why is the sky blue? Facts you should know: "Think you know you know your science? Recently, several science gurus -- Nobel Prize winners, institute heads, teachers and others who spend most of their time thinking about science -- were asked, 'What is one science question every high school graduate should be able to answer?'"

I'm embarrassed to admit that I missed two of these.

  1. I missed one. That's assuming my monosyllabic answers are counted as being correct.

  2. I more or less knew most of them, more or less. But knowing, say, that the earth is about 2/3 water is close enough to the actual number for most people. I would prefer to have my head stuffed with a lot of good Aggie jokes than to know some of the exact answers.

I have to admit though that I don't tell many Aggie jokes to actual Aggies. I got tired of hearing, "What's so funny about that?"

  3. "More or less" is the way I knew the answers, too. And I still didn't get all of them.
